Dressage Unaffiliated ~ Rules & Information
Combination (rider with horse/pony) Rules:
- Each combination must be mutually eligible for any class they enter
- The organisers may suspend and subsequently, following enquiry, disqualify any competing entrants, of any type, that are proven to be in breach of the rules on that day
Rider Rules:
- A rider can enter up to three classes per horse/pony
- A rider can enrol more than one horse/pony at each event
- Each rider MUST declare their intension to ride HorsConcours (HoC) before they begin their class
- Lunging is permissible at the discretion of the organisers
- Any rider competing WITHOUT: a Relative; a Partner; a Friend; or Another in attendance (i.e. alone), MUST include an emergency contact on their submitted entry form(s), or provide HDG with the details of an emergency contact on arrival, without exception
- All riders must wear PAS015/EN1384 compliant hats, displaying the British Standard Kite Mark and ensure that their hats are securely strapped on, when on horseback

Horse/Pony Rules:
- A horse/pony can enter up to three classes per event
- Bridle numbers must be worn on both sides of the bridle whilst in the arenas
Event Rules:
- All entry fees must be paid, in full, by the Monday before the scheduled event
- Any competing rider who is delayed or unable to compete, should inform the event secretary of their situation by calling [07974 756966] or [07931 566644] as soon as possible
- Entries close on the Monday before the scheduled event, or when classes are full
- Late entries may still be accepted at the discretion of the organisers
- Late entries are subject to a discretionary £1.50 administration charge per class
- Classes may be combined for events where the entrant count is low
- HDG endeavour to honour all event days. However, since all combinations/classes are judged outside, we reserve the right to cancel due to poor weather conditions
Information:
- Official Sunshine Tour regional qualifying venue.
- Class times will be available via our website after 7pm on the Thursday evening preceding each event
- Pick Your Own (PYO) classes allows riders to choose from the classes on offer
- The maximum number of entries per dressage class is fifteen
- The maximum number of entries per day is 60 (at the discretion of the organisers)
- Preparation and warm up is executed on the outdoor cushion compound arena
- All dressage is ridden and judged on one of the outdoor competition arenas
- We are guided, in accordance, with the rules of the British Dressage controlling body
- HorsConcours (HoC) combinations receive a bridle number, but are judged and scored alongside their competing group privately
- Entrants requiring a Caller (Clr) should select the [Yes] button on the View & Book Classes ► form
- Callers can be supplied by HDG on receipt of a £1 charitable donation payment, which is added to your entry fee and shown in your booking form or email
- Riders may bring their own Caller
